Alexander Moor (the Governor of Tyumen region), Sergey Gusev (Vice President, head of the Ural macroregional branch of PJSC Rostelecom) and Veronica Efremova (acting rector of Tyumen Industrial University) have signed a tripartite agreement on interaction in implementing the Smart Region project, the company informed.
The document provides for cooperation in the development of initiatives as regards creation and implementation of the Smart Region project in Tyumen region.
PJSC Rostelecom (tax number: 7707049388) is the national long-distance communication operator leading in the amount of long-distance domestic and international data traffic and operating the land-line network of television and broadcasting channels. In April 2011, Rostelecom absorbed interregional communication companies Centertelecom, Sibirtelecom, Dalsvyaz, Uralsvyazinform, VolgaTelecom, SZT, YTK and Dagsvyazinform. Total length of Rostelecom's backbone network all over Russia is about 500,000 km. The company's infrastructure reaches 43 million Russian households.
The company's authorized capital is RUB 6.961 billion. It consists of 2,784,480,101 shares including 2,574,914,954 common shares and 209,565,147 type A preferred shares. Rostelecom's major shareholder is the Government of Russia. The company's securities are listed on the MICEX Stock Exchange in Russia as well as in the electronic OTC trading system OTCQX in the USA.
IFRS net profit of PJSC Rostelecom for 2017 grew by 15% to RUB 14.05 billion from RUB 12.249 billion the year before. Revenue increased by 3% to RUB 305.329 billion from RUB 297.446 billion, OIBDA by 0.1% to RUB 96.857 billion from RUB 96.772 billion. Operating profit decreased by 5% to RUB 37.885 billion from RUB 39.836 billion.
According to AK&M Information Agency's DataCapital information retrieval system, RAS net profit of PJSC Rostelecom for H1 2018 decreased 7.5 times to RUB 850.947 million from RUB 6.365 billion a year earlier. Revenue increased by 4.5% to RUB 144.52 billion from RUB 138.307 billion. Gross profit and sales profit decreased by 28.67% to RUB 9.605 billion from RUB 13.466 billion. Pre-tax profit was RUB 754.731 million against RUB 7.142 billion in H1 2017.
