Federal Freight increased traffic on Moscow Railways by 27% in 2017

In 2017, JSC Federal Freight transported a total of approximately 8 million tonnes on Moscow Railways (+27% year-on-year), according to the press service of Federal Freight.

The freight flow increased considerably in the segment of bulk-oil cargoes (more than twice to 660,000 tonnes).

Freight handling on flatcars grew by 25% to 132.5 thousand tonnes.

JSC Federal Freight (previously known as Freight Two, a subsidiary of JSC Russian Railways, tax number: 6659209750) started its economic activities in 2010. The company lends its rolling stock for transportation purposes, provides forwarding and other services. Federal Freight is operating 7 branches and 8 transport service agencies all over the Russian railway network, with representative offices in Moscow and Kazakhstan.

In 2017, Federal Freight increased freight handling by 7% year-on-year to 197 million tonnes.

According to AK&M Information Agency's DataCapital information retrieval system, RAS net profit of Federal Freight for 2016 was RUB 5.759 billion against a loss of RUB 8.549 billion the year before. Revenue increased by 57.56% to RUB 73.24 billion from RUB 46.485 billion, sales profit was RUB 4.053 billion against a loss of RUB 7.486 billion in 2015, pre-tax profit amounted to RUB 7.671 billion against a loss of RUB 9.195 billion.
